Daniel B. Prieto is a nationally recognized leader at the intersection of national security and emerging technology, with 20+ years of executive experience ranging from Google, IBM, McKinsey, AOL, and J.P. Morgan to the White House, Department of Defense, and Capitol Hill.

He is currently Managing Partner at Range Strategic Advisors, LLC and serves as an investor, advisor, and/or board member to a number of early-stage companies in AI, cybersecurity, supply chain security, and next-gen geolocation. Previously, he served as Head of Cybersecurity Strategy & Solutions for Google Public Sector, Director for Cybersecurity Policy in the White House on the National Security Council staff, as Chief Technology Officer in the DoD Office of the CIO, and as Director of the Defense Industrial Base Cybersecurity and Information Assurance Program.

After 9/11, he helped stand up the Homeland Security Committee in the U.S. House of Representatives. As a Vice President at IBM, he led a $125 million public-sector technology strategy consulting organization. As an investment banker and corporate strategist, he helped lead nearly $200B in M&A transactions, including the mergers of McDonnell Douglas and Boeing, AOL and Time Warner, the acquisition of Netscape and a number of other transactions in internet services, cybersecurity, software, and defense.

He has held fellowship and expert appointments at Harvard, Stanford, and Columbia universities, the Council on Foreign Relations, the Aspen Institute, and the Center for Strategic and International Studies. Dan received his B.A from Wesleyan University and his M.A. from Johns Hopkins University.
