Mr. Nelson brings over three and a half decades of experience in the public and private sectors, with expertise in resource management, planning, and policy development.
He served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Zeta Associates for 18 years, a leading provider of signals collection, processing, and distribution solutions for the intelligence and defense communities, where he oversaw the company’s successful sale to Lockheed Martin.
Prior to his industry leadership, Mr. Nelson spent 18 years in the U.S. Government in increasingly senior roles, including Associate Deputy Director of Operations of the Central Intelligence Agency, Chief of Staff to the Director of Central Intelligence, Deputy Director and Chief Financial Officer of the National Reconnaissance Office, and Senior Analyst on the Senate Intelligence Committee.
Mr. Nelson also served as a Board Member of the Council on Intelligence Issues, supporting education, research, and increased awareness of intelligence and national security matters.
